Meet Our London Marathon Runner!

A white man in his 20's with glasses, brown hair and beard runs in a forest. He is smiling and wearing a neon yellow tshirt.

The London Marathon is now not far away, and we’re delighted to have a runner in this year's race! George Pennick will be taking on this his incredible event in aid of ClearVision on Sunday 26th April.
George is 25 but has known ClearVision nearly all his life- when he was a child his Dad, Tim, who is blind and reads braille, used to borrow our books to read George bedtime stories. The whole family are taking on the challenge, with George doing the running and Tim and mum Rachel helping with the fundraising and encouragement. George works for the National Trust on the island of Brownsea, but since January he’s been spending his evenings and weekends training, putting in the hours of practice to run the gruelling 26.2 miles (42.195 kilometres) to raise much-needed funds for ClearVision. Please sponsor him if you can, and encourage your friends and family to do so, to help us give more families like George’s the books they need to be able to share stories: https://2026tcslondonmarathon.enthuse.com/pf/george-pennick
