Involve Your School

Get Your School Fundraising For ClearVision.

Supporting ClearVision is an easy but hugely effective way of raising awareness about difference and disability, whilst championing inclusion, building empathy and learning about braille. It's also fun! We love working with schools and are always keen to provide every bit of support we can, from sample books for children to explore in class, to talks in assemblies. You can hold a non-uniform day or pyjama day in exchange for donations, run a delicious bake sale, hold a read-a-thon or invent your own braille or book-themed event. For more ideas, request our Fundraising Guide or pick one of these ideas to highlight the importance of our work:

Sponsored Braille Bee

Ever have a spelling test? Well this is the braille version! Get everyone in your class sponsored to learn their name, a phrase or sentence in braille OR why not get everyone to learn the braille alphabet and the person who can read the most in a book wins!

Test Your Senses

Working with your eyes closed is tough! Take three jam jars and 3 dice, 3 marbles and 3 pencils (or to make it harder, handfuls of 3 differently-shaped beads). Mis the objects us, then challenge contestants by asking them to separate the dice in one jar, the marbles in another and the pencils in the last: without using their eyes! Time how long it takes and give a prize to the person who gets it right the quickest.

Braille Bake Sale

Bake sales are a tasty way to get your school fundraising for ClearVision. Get creative with your cooking and ice a range of cupcakes and biscuits with braille! You could ice your initials, ClearVisions initials or invite people to ice their own with icing pens on the day. If you don’t know braille then just contact us to ask for a braille alphabet sheet.
